A DECADE OF GROWTH FOR THE QUÉBEC CITY AIRPORT

Québec, February 7, 2013– The President and chief executive officer of Aéroport de Québec inc., Mr. Gaëtan Gagné, is pleased to confirm that, for the tenth year in a row, the Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB) saw an increase in its number of passengers. Indeed, the company saw an increase in of 2.2% in passenger traffic for a record total of 1,342,840 passengers in 2012. This decade of growth is most certainly the result of the work put into development and infrastructure improvements but above all, it reflects the « Passenger First » philosophy.

« We’re very pleased with our growth, year over year. These results are the fruit of the efforts of all our employees and partners who strive to provide our passengers with the best service and flight offerings”, said Mr. Gagné.

Over the last decade, YQB has seen a 121% increase in passengers, 53% of that number in the last five years alone. « Our airport’s potential is remarkable. Its key role in our region’s development is an ever-growing one. For this reason, we’re pooling all our efforts to offer quality facilities and we’re rigorously pursuing the plans for our second phase of projects which involve investments of $225 million by 2016. We aim to maintain our growth, increase our capacity to welcome more airlines, increase our flight offers and promote healthy competition for the benefit of our passengers”, concluded Mr. Gagné.

Since November 1, 2000, the Québec City Airport has been responsible for the management, operation, maintenance and development of the Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport. Approximately a dozen carriers offer multiple connections to various destinations in North America, the Caribbean, Mexico and Europe, over 50 direct flights a day to major cities in Eastern Canada and the United States, such as Montréal, Toronto, New York, Chicago and Philadelphia and, in winter, over 45 chartered flights a week to sun destinations as well as Paris and Marseille in the summer.
