Québec City, July 14, 2025 — ARI has proudly unveiled a new standalone Spectrum boutique at Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB). This is the retailer’s second concession at the airport, reaffirming its commitment to enhancing the traveller experience in Québec. A shared ethos of delivering distinctive service tailored to actual needs has underpinned the strong partnership between ARI and Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB) since the former began operating Québec Duty Free in 2017.
Located right after the security checkpoint, near gate 32, Spectrum, the signature sunglass store concept, offers travellers a premium retail experience in a modern boutique setting, with many leading international brands including Ray-Ban, Oakley, Tom Ford, Prada, Gucci, Saint Laurent, Carrera, Maui Jim, Vogue, Polaroid, and Guess. The decision to open Spectrum in a new standalone store reflects the strong recent growth of the sunglasses category and facilitates an improved shopping experience for travellers, no matter where they are headed.
“The new Spectrum store opening is an important evolution of our retail offer here at Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB). This is our second concession at the airport—our first duty paid—and is a marker of the category’s strong performance across our business,” says Glen Morgan, CEO of ARI North America. “We are delighted with the continued support of our airport partners as we work together to elevate the traveller experience at the airport and deliver memorable, and joyful, moments. We look forward to a busy summer of travel, with an even better retail experience for travellers to enjoy.”
“We are delighted to strengthen our collaboration with ARI and celebrate the official opening of Spectrum. This new boutique in the heart of the terminal offers a distinctive selection of renowned sunglasses brands, offering travellers both quality and variety. Spectrum truly enhances the experience of people departing from Québec City,” notes Stéphane Poirier, President and CEO of YQB.
