Une trentaine d’enfants de la grande région de Québec s’envolent vers le pôle Nord avec PAL Airlines

Québec City, Saturday, December 13, 2025 — This morning, some 30 children from the greater Québec City area were treated to a magical experience at Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB). In an event organized by PAL Airlines in collaboration with Rouge FM, the Centre de pédiatrie sociale de Québec, and the Fondation Nouveaux Sentiers, participating families were invited to be part of a special flight to the North Pole for a memorable experience steeped in holiday spirit.

Upon arrival, the kids were greeted by a cheerful group of elves, as well as Rouge FM host Gabriel Marois. The unique morning started with a festive breakfast, prepared especially for the group, before everyone boarded and took off aboard an aircraft chartered for the occasion.

Once the plane had landed, the magic intensified as Santa Claus himself boarded the plane to give each child a present. This exceptional moment brought smiles to everyone’s faces and will undoubtedly remain etched in their hearts and minds.

A tradition steeped in holiday spirit

This event, which has been organized by PAL Airlines for several years now, has become a much-anticipated opportunity to spread holiday cheer in every community where it is held. This year marked its fifth time in Québec City. Children from St. John’s, Labrador, and Sept-Îles also enjoyed this magical flight to the North Pole this year.

An experience made possible thanks to community support

Numerous partners in the Québec City region helped make this festive morning possible. These included YQB, Rouge FM, Lora Films, Toys“R”Us, Groupe Voyages Québec, Bobba, Galeries de la Capitale, Réno-Jouets, Avjet, TSAS, Bell Horizon, Concept LV, Noovo, Radio-Canada, Rouge Québec, Quebecor Media, and Nourcy.

“It’s a privilege for YQB to contribute, alongside PAL Airlines and our partners, to an initiative that brings so much joy to children and their families. This unique experience, which allows them to escape from everyday life and savour the magic of the holidays, perfectly demonstrates our community’s strength and solidarity.”

— Stéphane Poirier, President and CEO of YQB

“Participating in this magical event creates precious memories for the children we support. This trip to the North Pole offers them not just a moment of joy and wonder, but also a respite from their everyday challenges. Thank you to PAL Airlines, Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB), and all of the other partners for this generous and magical initiative.”

— Jean-Christophe Nicolas, Executive Director, Centre de pédiatrie sociale de Québec

“When PAL Airlines invited us to participate in this adventure, we knew right away that it would be something special. At the New Pathways Foundation, we believe that every joyful moment can become a memory that stays with a young person for a long time. It’s a touching privilege to see First Nations children experience the wonder, excitement, and magic of a flight where they get to meet Santa Claus. This collaboration, which is now in its second year, shows how committed partners can work together to brighten families’ lives and nurture hope. We feel honoured to be part of this project.”

— Marie-Claude Cleary, Executive Director, Fondation Nouveaux Sentiers
