YQB Maintains Airport Fee Freeze

05 nov

PUBLIC NOTICE

Québec City, November 7, 2020 – For the fourth consecutive year, Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB) will not be increasing its airport improvement fees or general aviation fees in 2021, even though the airport has been hit hard by the global COVID-19 pandemic. Parking fees will also remain unchanged.

“Since the beginning of this pandemic, we’ve been concentrating on keeping our operating costs as low as possible to limit losses and make sure we emerge on the best possible footing. Like all Canadian airports, we’re assessing any and all scenarios that could allow us to accelerate our recovery and fully resume our role as a driver of socio-economic development. For the time being, in order to keep YQB an attractive airport for our passengers and business partners, we’ve decided to maintain the rate freeze on airport improvement fees and parking rates,” stated Stéphane Poirier, President and CEO of YQB.

On January 1, only certain aeronautical charges will increase to reflect the cost of living.
