Origine opens a new café at YQB

10 may

Québec City, May 10, 2018 – Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB) is pleased to announce that, beginning on May 12, 2018, the secure airside zone sandwich shop/bar will be operated by Origine café-traiteur, a company from the Québec City area. The focus on regionally-based based products will continue, in line with the concept defined when the new terminal building opened.

"In the space of a few hours, a new food option has been secured. The announcement of this partnership, and the speed at which the transition will occur, reflect the airport's ability to deal quickly with a situation outside its control. Origine will be able to respond to our passengers' needs in a way that provides a perfect match with the sandwich shop/bar concept," says Mathieu Claise, YQB's Director of Government and Public affairs.

"We are excited at this opportunity to serve passengers at Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport. Our mission will be to develop products that reflect our culinary identity using a range of local products, including coffee from Brûlerie Rousseau, cheese from Laiterie de Charlevoix, bread from Borderon et Fils and bagels from Bagels Maguire. Clearly, passengers will be leaving YQB with an experience of local products!" says Nicolas Nourcy, the owner of Origine, café-traiteur.
